Secret Valley
Established in 1996, Secret Valley is one of the four golf courses on the island of Cyprus. Located in the renowned Petra tou Romiou area, it is the legendary birthplace of the goddess of love, Aphrodite.
This course’s designers are quite special; they are Hans-Georg Erhardt, Snorri Vilhjalmsson, and Tony Jacklin, a former Ryder Cup captain and champion of the British and US Open tennis championships, who jointly designed it.
Nestled in a picturesque valley, Secret Valley utilizes the steep mountain terrain to create spectacular tee positions (with six different tee positions, three for men and three for women) that offer vistas of the valley and the sea. To attract more golf enthusiasts, Secret Valley features a beach connection to the golf course, also the lowest point of the course, with a three-hole loop illuminated for night play.
Minthis Hills
Established in 1994, Minthis Hills is the oldest golf course in Cyprus and an extraordinary golf resort on the island known for its magnificent scenery, luxurious modern residences, standard 72-par 18-hole championship golf course, impressive clubhouse, and golf academy.
Minthis was also the first golf club in Cyprus to receive GEO certification, recognizing its environmental practices and commitment to sustainability.
Originally designed by renowned golf architect Donald Steel in 1994, Minthis Hills perfectly blends into its natural surroundings. In 2006, the world-famous course designers Mackenzie & Ebert renovated the golf course, completing a green renovation at the end of 2020.
Golfing here is suitable all year round. With a cool breeze brushing past your ears, a swing of the club, and a glance upwards revealing stunning mountain views, the marvelous scenery and layout of the golf course create a pastoral environment for an enjoyable game of golf.
Golf is a captivating activity not only for the charm of the sport itself but also for the design of the courses, each offering a unique experience based on different terrains and designs.
