This is a renowned glamping site, creatively positioned on rugged cliffs, resembling terraced fields, offering you the Mediterranean Sea, mountain views, and the sunshine of Southern France, without the crowds. Among the numerous five-star campsites, it stands out. Les Cirques de Porteils is located in the Occitanie region in Argelès-sur-Mer, close to the red coast of Collioure.

The campsite offers nearly 300 camping spots, all with “sea views,” and boasts five-star comfort. Flower Camping La Rivière

Flower Camping La Rivière is located in the Luberon region of Provence, a classic area for viewing lavender in summer. It’s a three-star campsite in the town of Saint-Maime. Positioned perfectly between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps, it offers the sweetness of Provencal fruits and the delicacies of Mediterranean seafood.

The La Rivière campsite spans over 3.5 hectares, featuring streams and private fishing ponds, as well as natural pools where you can cool off under the shade of trees. Set up a hammock by the streamside… and watch your troubles quietly slip away.

Beadnell Bay Campsite, Northumberland

Northumberland is relatively undeveloped compared to other parts of England, which makes it less known. However, such places are more natural, and camping here truly embodies the essence of camping. The campsite is located near the coast, surrounded by tranquility, making it a great place to relax. The sea views here are fantastic, with plenty of wild birds, making it ideal for birdwatching.

Situated near Beadnell Bay, if you enjoy beach walks, consider walking along Beadnell Bay. The golden sandy beach, undulating sand dunes, create a unique landscape, with the sea breeze gently blowing. Along the coastline, there’s also a national cycling route, allowing you to explore Northumberland’s charming ancient castles.

The campsite welcomes all kinds of tents, camper vans, and RVs, offering free drinking water, showers, washing machines, freezers, toilets, playgrounds for children, and paid Wi-Fi. Additionally, camping here means you don’t have to worry about food; you can buy super fresh seafood just caught from the sea. Seafood lovers shouldn’t miss out.

Fox Wood Camping, West Sussex

At Fox Wood Camping, you can experience the most “wilderness-style” camping. The campsite is close to woodland and can accommodate over 30 tents, each with a fire pit, perfect for chatting around the campfire at night.

You can pitch your tent in the woods, fall asleep to the sound of insects, wake up to the sound of birds in the morning, and hike or bike to nearby Angmering Park and South Downs National Park. The campsite only provides basic toilets and shower facilities, so be sure to bring a flashlight, power bank, and plenty of snacks! Additionally, it’s important to note that Fox Wood Camping does not accept bookings for adults only; there must be at least one child under 16 accompanying.

Le Grand Champ

Located in the town of Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc, the Grand Champ campsite offers a surprising alternative in this famous skiing town. While the campsite at the foot of the mountain may not be luxurious, its prime location feels straight out of a healing movie scene.

The campsite can accommodate 50-100 people. For those seeking activities, joining the town’s events in Chamonix is an option. Take the cable car to Mont Blanc or hop on a small train to see the glaciers. Outdoor enthusiasts will find ample choices for rock climbing, cycling, paragliding, and rafting.

Camping Lac de Serre Ponçon

Lac de Serre-Ponçon is the largest artificial lake in Europe, situated in the Hautes-Alpes department of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France. The lake’s waters exhibit shades of turquoise, and there are over 300 sunny days each year. The campsite, spanning 19 hectares near the lake, is surrounded by peaks reaching 3000 meters and is part of a natural reserve, offering stunning views of the lake and mountains.

The campsite features a beach, natural streams, various water sports, and ball games. Additionally, there are paragliding experiences available, providing breathtaking views of the lake and mountains, with rare take-off and landing spots in the same location.

The campsite offers a great deal of flexibility in choosing camping spots, including positions overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon. It accommodates tents, caravans, and camper vans, and facilities include five all-weather sanitary areas open 24/7, as well as refrigerator and barbecue rentals. Additionally, cabins are available for rent in two sizes: for six or eight people, each equipped with a terrace, kitchen, and private bathroom.

Cornish Tipi Holidays, Cornwall

Shell Island, Gwynedd

The landscape of Shell Island is quite unique, with the beach and grassland seemingly naturally divided into two layers. The area near the sea is covered with large patches of sand and pebbles, while the middle zone features a strip of white sandy beach. Moving upward, low cliffs suddenly appear, covered with lush green grass, stretching endlessly.

The grassland serves as the camping grounds, encircling the coastline, covering over 300 acres, making it the largest campsite in Europe. Open from March to November each year, during the summer, the area near the sea is densely packed with tents.

The campsite features a supermarket, restaurants, bars, and small shops where you can buy anything you need, making it quite a bustling little town. Additionally, free hot showers and laundry facilities are provided.

Camping is a favored leisure activity for many young people in the UK. If you’re tired of the crowds in the Lake District and seek a quiet place to admire the scenery and relax, this is a great choice.

Keswick is an ancient town near the Lake District, dating back to the Victorian era. The town is backed by Skiddaw and nestled by Helvellyn. Several streams flow south into the Borrowdale Valley, with several woodland paths leading to nearby cliffs and waterfalls. Exploring outside Keswick is a great option, with some of the Lake District’s most beautiful scenery and England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike. Keswick is also a paradise for hikers, offering over a dozen hiking trails to choose from. The town also boasts numerous shops selling hiking, climbing, and camping equipment.

Here, you can leave behind the fast pace of the city and embrace the slow pace of nature, listening to the sounds of blossoming flowers and singing leaves. For those with good physical fitness, you can climb Scafell Pike and then overlook the entire town from the summit, experiencing an unforgettable visual spectacle.
