Cornish Tipi Holidays, Cornwall

Cornwall has long been a prime seaside destination for summer outings in the UK, known as the “end of the land”. The campsite is nestled in a small valley here, with a stream flowing nearby, merging into a lake not far away.

You can camp in the lush valley or choose to bask in the sun on the coast. Swimming and hiking trails are both excellent leisure options. You can also light a campfire at night and catch fireflies. The campsite also operates a small café, serving fresh coffee, cakes, and desserts daily. In addition to bringing your own tent, they also have pre-pitched tents that resemble Mongolian yurts, complete with blankets and cooking utensils such as pots, spoons, and kettles.

Ocean Pitch Campsite, Devon

This is one of the few campsites with a sea view, accommodating up to 40 tents, with the beach right in front of the campsite. For sports enthusiasts, you can bring surfboards, or book surfing lessons at the campsite.

In addition to pitching your own tent, you can also rent tents there, or book luxurious glamping, which offers all the amenities you could ask for. The campsite facilities are quite impressive, providing toilets, indoor and outdoor showers, sinks, chargers, WiFi, BBQ grills, and even rentals for swimsuits and surfboards.

Shell Island, Gwynedd

The landscape of Shell Island is quite unique, with the beach and grassland seemingly naturally divided into two layers. The area near the sea is covered with large patches of sand and pebbles, while the middle zone features a strip of white sandy beach. Moving upward, low cliffs suddenly appear, covered with lush green grass, stretching endlessly.

The grassland serves as the camping grounds, encircling the coastline, covering over 300 acres, making it the largest campsite in Europe. Open from March to November each year, during the summer, the area near the sea is densely packed with tents.

The campsite features a supermarket, restaurants, bars, and small shops where you can buy anything you need, making it quite a bustling little town. Additionally, free hot showers and laundry facilities are provided.
